Welcome by Col Kendall to the 1st Brigade, 9th Infantry Division at Fort Riley for assigned units of 2/39, 3/39 and 4/39 and their assigned artillery unit, 1/11.
Orders identifyling 27 enlisted personnel assigned to Battery A 1st Battalion 11th Artillery at Fort Riley on April 13, 1966, following induction at Fort Knox.
Interestingly, only one of this group had enlisted and the 26 others -- including your's truly -- were drafted. Gordon Rightler was among the initial group of three KIA from the battery on March 12, 1966.
